Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 2026
1. About these terms
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Digital Skills Academy platform. By creating an account or purchasing membership you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate registration details and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity on your account. One person may hold one account. Creating multiple accounts to manipulate the referral programme is a breach of these terms.
3. Membership and payment
Membership costs KES 849 as a one-off payment made through Safaricom M-PESA. Membership is activated only after the payment is verified by the payment provider. We do not accept payments sent outside the platform's payment flow and cannot activate accounts for such payments.
Membership grants personal, non-transferable access to the courses and materials available on the platform at the time of purchase and to materials added during your access period. Sharing account credentials or redistributing course materials is prohibited.
4. Refunds
Because learning materials unlock immediately after payment, membership is generally non-refundable. Where a payment was duplicated, taken in error, or membership was not activated despite a verified payment, contact support and we will investigate and correct it.
5. Referral programme
The referral programme is a secondary, optional feature. Members with active membership receive a personal referral code. Where a new customer joins using that code and completes a verified membership purchase, a reward of KES 350 is credited to the referring member's wallet as a pending amount.
The referral programme is not an investment, not a business opportunity, and does not offer guaranteed, recurring or projected income. No representation is made that any member will earn any amount. Membership should be purchased for the educational value alone.
Rewards are created only after a genuine, verified purchase by a distinct person. Self-referral, duplicate accounts, fake sign-ups, misleading advertising, spam, or any presentation of the programme as an investment or income scheme will result in reversal of rewards, forfeiture of balances and account suspension.
Pending rewards become available after a review period set by the platform. We may reverse a reward at any time if the underlying payment is reversed, disputed or found to be fraudulent.
6. Wallet and withdrawals
Wallet balances represent referral rewards recorded in the platform's ledger. They are not a deposit, savings product or financial instrument and earn no interest.
Withdrawals may be requested once your available balance meets the minimum withdrawal amount published on the platform. Requests are reviewed by an administrator before payout to the M-PESA number you provide. We may request identity verification before releasing funds.
7. Certificates
Certificates confirm completion of a course on this platform. They are not accredited academic qualifications and do not guarantee employment.
8. Opportunities board
Job and gig listings are shared for information. We are not the employer and do not guarantee availability, accuracy or outcomes. Never pay anyone to be considered for a listing.
9. Acceptable use
You may not attempt to breach platform security, scrape content, resell materials, or use the platform for unlawful purposes.
10. Changes, suspension and liability
We may update courses, pricing, referral reward amounts, minimum withdrawal thresholds and these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms. To the extent permitted by Kenyan law, our liability is limited to the membership fee paid.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya.
